The target placement goal is to place the targets so that no damage is done to wooden or metal target frames by errant shots, and to ensure that bullets impact directly into the backstops. The target frames supplied for your use are designed so that bullets impact directly into the backstops.
DO NOT PLACE TARGETS on the WOODEN FRAMES. Those frames cost money, time, and manpower to maintain. If the cardboard backers are missing, contact the office and we will be glad to mount new cardboard for you.
DO NOT PLACE TARGETS TOO CLOSE to the FRAMES. When that occurs, stray bullets can hit and damage the frames. On the Pistol and Rifle Ranges, mount only one target per target frame, and that target is placed in the middle of the cardboard. Up to four targets can be placed on the Public Range's backers, depending on their size. Again place them in the middle of the cardboard.
