Text Box: THANK YOU LETTER for TRAINING RECEIVED at WHITE HORSE
October 2010

The following letter was sent by Robert Hall to Don Bartlett for training received at White Horse. Don and Ed Tenney gave M1 Garand instruction in October. Way to go guys!

“Dear Don,

“Sending just a few lines to express the gratitude of our group of eight M1 Garand owners. You and your able assistant, Ed Tenney, graciously spent five hours on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the White Horse Range, training them how to safely handle, service and fire their weapons accurately and effectively.

“Ed Tenney’s black of hands on instruction in the cleaning, lubrication, maintenance and address of weapon stoppages was the most concise yet comprehensive I have ever encountered. His balanced ‘common sense’ approach to training in these vital areas left both the novice and experienced shooter with valuable tools to further their marksmanship skills.

“During our brief time together you clearly led our group into an understanding of the Garand’s sighting system, sight picture, mechanical/bullseye zero and concepts of battle zero. Additionally, you introduced and provided through live fire individual coaching for each member of our group in calculating minutes of angle (MOA), reading the wind, and setting bullseye zero at 100 yards for their individual M1 Garands. They now have the beginning foundation for advancing ‘down range’

“In the span of just five hours you transformed a treasured relic of American military history into a functional, precise and ageless instrument of shooting pleasure and challenge. For this, we are most grateful.

“Respectfully,
“Robert R. Hall

“P.S. Carlos would ‘approve’ this message……Semper Fi !!”
